Basisschool de Springplank

What we stand for…

The Springplank stands for learning from and with each other, both for children and teachers. The teachers offer space and work methods that promote cooperation between children.
We want to create an optimal “school environment”. We see the parent as the most important partner. We expect an open and respectful attitude from everyone. The team has an active attitude towards educational developments and feels responsible for professionalization to guarantee the current quality.

Application and registration

In the Netherlands a child is eligible to attend primary school at the age of 4 . From the age of 5, education for your child is compulsory.

Admission of new students.
You may apply for placement by contacting the school’s admissions office via e-mail: despringplank@skpo.nl or telephone: 040-2521905.

To register students younger than 4:

1. Parents/guardians schedule an appointment for an intake interview via the school’s  email or phone.
2. A guided tour of our school takes place, giving you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
3. Parents/guardians apply for admission by completing the application form in full and submitting it to the admissions office via mail.
4. Once all information is received and reviewed, management will decide about admittance and placement.
5. Placement depends upon the group size as well as on specific needs of the child and/or age group.

To register students older than 4, who have received education prior to registration:

1. Parents/guardians schedule an appointment for an intake interview via the school’s  email or phone.
2. A guided tour of our school takes place, giving you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
3. Parents/guardians apply for admission by completing the application form in full and submitting it to the admissions office via mail .
4. Parents provide the school with complete documentation concerning your child’s educational history (educational report).
5. Once all information is received and reviewed, management will decide about admittance and placement.
6. Placement depends upon the group size as well as on specific needs of the child and/or age group.

School contribution:

We ask parents/guardians for a yearly voluntary contribution of 25,- per child.
